Bagpipe repairs

As an experienced piper and skilled craftsman, I offer repair services for bagpipe parts.

The wood in a good Scottish-made set of pipes is African Blackwood, also known as Grenadilla. It is becoming very rare and pieces of it large enough to turn into bagpipes are very expensive. You should inspect any new set of pipes very carefully as cracking can appear since leaving the factory.

For affordable rates I can replicate most parts to their original condition in affordable and durable black

PVC that looks authentic to the eye. Full detailing is achieved to match your set by careful turning on a lathe.

Fees on bagpipe restoration vary greatly from pipes to pipes depending on condition and what is needed to repair the instrument. I am more than happy to provide you with an estimate at the time of initial inspection.

Contact me today to discuss what I can do to rescue your pipes and to keep you playing for many more years to come.
