Weddings

Whether inside a church sanctuary or outside in a park or garden, the romantic sound of bagpipes add an emotional special touch to any wedding.

For centuries in Scotland and Ireland, the music of the pipes has heralded the approach of the bridal party, and to this day, they provide a great sense of ceremony and occasion.

I firmly believe it’s your day so I will do it your way. I can completely tailor a package to suit your requirements. I can play traditional songs as well as contemporary.

From my experience, these are the points in a wedding day I am often called upon to play:

  • as guests arrive
  • piping the bridal party down the aisle (processional)
  • during the service and signing of the register
  • piping the bride and groom out (recessional)
  • for guests after the ceremony
  • piping the bride and groom into the reception
  • during the cutting of the cake
  • piping the bridal party out of the reception

I am based in Alexandra and service all of the surrounding Central Otago areas, including Queenstown, Wanaka, Arrowtown, Cromwell, Omakau, Clyde, Alexandra and Roxburgh to name a few. I am also willing to travel throughout New Zealand.
